Directories
Our Directories collection (or Websites Lists) is here to provide you with quick summaries and short reviews of useful sites around the Internet that can assist you and your business to make money.
It’s not intended as a comprehensive index to the Internet, nor as a replacement for using search engines or relevant trade directories, but it might save you some time, and give you a quick start in monetising your website, or opening new sales channels for your business.
This “index” page is a work in progress and shows planned future content for our website lists. You are welcome to add suggestions for additional content at any time, simply drop into our forums and send me a personal message, and I’ll add your suggestions here.
As of Feb 2008, initial data collection for many of the categories below is already underway, and the relative pages for each will appear soon. At first, each page may be a little “spartan” while we try to get the page structure built and online, but they will be filling up continuously throughout this year, then updated regularly after that. Categories showing in blue with hyperlinks, have already been added and started.
Current and planned Site Lists include -

Affiliate Agencies - the companies that, like Google Adsense, amalgamate advertisers and their adverts, then pay you to insert their adverts onto your website.
Auction Sites - A comprehensive A-Z of the websites classifying themselves as auction sites in the style of eBay and others.

Auction (Reverse) Sites - An interesting twist on regular auctions, these sites operate by having the lowest bidder win the item, but bidders have to pay for each bid they place. During bidding, the current price to be paid for the item goes down, not up.
Book-selling Sites - Sometimes auctions-style, sometimes simply catalogue or online retailing style webstore format, but dedicated to where you can in selling your books and media.
Classified Ads Sites - another sales channel and the online equivalent of running an advert in a newspaper.
Niche-sales Sites - sites that specialise in a particular interest or product type, and which allow you to sell your goods or services on them.
Shopping Mall Sites - Sites where you can open a stand-alone webstore, or in a Mall-style environment with others. Webstore facilities within Auction sites will be in the Auction Sites list above.
Trade Directories - Mainly advertising and contact lists for manufacturers seeking customers, but often useful in many different buyer:supplier situations.
Web Hosts - the companies that give your website or store a home on the internet.
