Where to buy for reselling?

The primary problem with using the internet to research and acquire suppliers is that, if you can do that, then so can everyone else with a computer and an internet connection. It becomes very difficult to find unique products that differentiate you from the competition. This applies whether you are an online or off-line reselling trader, or a mainly services business providing items as part of your overall package. Sometimes, you simply have to revert to the older static directories to find the suppliers everyone is now overlooking ... and sometimes get better deals because of that.

  • Wholesale and Dropship

Where to consistently find the right products at prices that permit profit is a constant challenge to businesses of all types,  In this section we present information packages that will assist you in doing just that.

Directories and lists fall into two distinct types (dynamic and static data), and within those there are several supplier types – manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, dropshippers, consignment (sale or return) vendors – which type(s) you use will depend on your business sector and model.

Although you may feel that the internet is removing the need for standalone information sources, the truth remains that many of the best suppliers do not yet have an Internet presence, and a surprising number have no intention of creating one.  This is particularly true in sectors such as self-creating artisans and local-area wholesalers (the latter being particularly prone to preference for directory entries as their sole outreach to new customers).  This means that standalone directories will retain value for many years to come.
