Auctions-United slashes joining fee to 99-pence

We’ve received an email from Ian Lambert, owner of Auctions-United.  The site is undergoing major changes within itself and they are using this opportunity to reduce membership from £25.00 to 99 pence.

Unlike eBay, AuctionsUnited encourage members to advertise their own sites, email address, telephone number and any other contact information they want to, as well as their businesses, in the item listings and within the free stores. This would appear to be self-defeating for a company that wants to monetise the listing and sale of goods on their site, and could well become so, were it not for some interesting loyalty and promotional schemes.
