DSRs – How to beat eBay.com at their own game

By now, most eBay sellers are sick to the back teeth of hearing about DSRs and the way they are used for the sole purpose of punishing sellers, robbing them of fee discounts, having them suspended from selling, or worse.
I know there’s a minority of sellers who think they’re the best thing since sliced bread, [...]

eBay’s free listings NOT free say sellers

eBay US announced Tuesday that sellers on the dot com site could get five free auction listings per month, and eBay CA followed with the same announcement on Wednesday.
Between the two announcements, a lot of sellers “did the maths” and discovered several cautionary points -

The cross-promotion is dead, Long live the cross-promotion

US gets four popular categories with no picture fees

eBay.com is introducing free additional picture usage in the four categories of Collectibles, Art, Antiques and Pottery & Glass.
This change for eBay hosted pictures comes into effect on February 18th, although based on the history of site changes over the last year, I’d expect it to be ineffective and glitchy until at least the 20th.
Greg [...]
