There’s just seven days left to get a $10.00 bonus when you use Google Checkout on Buy.com according to a link in the Google Checkout Promotions centre for registered users.
The promotion page itself, at Buy.com, explains that the offer is for Google Checkout users who don’t have an account already, is limited to one bonus per account, and the offer is for item price only excluding shipping, tax, and other charges. You have to sign up to Google Checkout during the checkout process for your purchase on Buy.com
All of which makes me wonder several things - why are they promoting it through the promotions page for people who already have a GCO account, and was this offer in place before the controversial eBay deal that Buy managed to pull off? When the offer expires on June 30th, will it be replaced with a similar one from PayPal?
Interesting times in the world of large corporate ecommerce are emerging.
