Have you BlogRolled yet?

BlogRolled.com is a new style of affiliate marketing program leveraging the power of blogging software link lists to favourite sites.

Operating with very similar terms to ReviewMe.com from MediaWhiz (reviewed on BuildaSkill a few days ago), BlogRolled brings together Advertisers and blog Publishers.  The program states it’s aim is to increase links and traffic into Advertisers’ websites using the blog-roll link lists of publisher affiliates.

Publishers have to register, and like with the MediaWhiz group, have their site ranked for suitability based on traffic, Alexa ranking, RSS readership, and links into their sites.  Multiple sites can be used with each BlogRolled Publisher account, but each site can carry a maximum of 10 BlogRolled links.

Payment is made monthly on the first business day, with previous months’ blogroll placements being paid pro-rata based on when they were added.  BlogRolled state they pay 50% of all Advertiser fees received, to Publishers.

Publisher registration is a multi-step process, with the increasingly common confirmation email plus further instructions following on from basic sign-up on the site. Stage 2 of the signup requires registering each site on which you want to carry paid blog roll links – to do this you need to input the blog name, URL, RSS Feed URL, and choose 2 categories that describe your blog from a list of classifications, and add up to six keyword tags for it.  Then you have to write a short text description of the blog (presumably this is for Advertisers’ consumption so make it relevant towards selling your blog to them).

Once you submit your blog, it is rated as pending subject to approval, but you can go ahead and add additional blogs while waiting for that approval.

BlogRolled do not operate an affiliate program for themselves.

I’m testing the BlogRolled system, and I’ll return with more information and opinion, after having given them a fair go.
