France extends cheap listing and FVF’s to 31 March
By Ed | December 18th, 2008 | Category: eBay FR | No Comments »eBay France must be suffering from seller attrition, they’ve just announced a 3-month extension to promotional cheaper fees.
At the front end, insertion fees for fixed price listings are to be kept at 15 Euro-cents regardless of the product start price and tranche value. This applies only for business registered sellers resident within France, and registered on eBay.fr and runs until 31 March 2009.
At the back end, the 10% discount from FVFs for the same group of sellers continues until 31 Dec 2008, but only sellers with all four DSRs at 4.5 or above will qualify.
The announcement details page harps on about using 10-day listings because relevance based on recent sales only counts sales within the last 7 days – hmmm? Methinks someone needs a maths lesson there.
As with so much of eBay nowadays, this is another long-term “foreigners keep out” promotion, of the type that is not encouraging seller retention, nor encouraging of cross-border trade (CBT in Bayspeak).
