Selling Globally – PayPal opens doors in eBay’s ring-fence
By Ed | November 19th, 2008 | Category: International Trade, PayPal | No Comments »Eddie Davis, senior director of SMB Merchant Services at PayPal, has posted in the official PayPal blog to start a promotion to get merchants selling globally, just as eBay are ramping up efforts to ring-fence each site and reduce cross-border trade.
Eddie’s post contains nothing unknown to seasoned cross-border sellers, but may be useful to those testing the waters of exporting in whatever volumes. His post also links to a PayPal “Selling Globally” guide ebook regarding the holiday habits of 17 countries and tips on a variety of topics including shipping, payments, customs, and tax considerations. It also points to a new PayPal micro-site www.paypal.com/globalselling.
You can read his full post in the PayPal blog, or in our Sales and Marketing forum, where you can also discuss it with other BuildaSkill members (forum login required).
