PayPal launches improved sites for India & SG
By Ed | November 18th, 2008 | Category: PaisaPay, PayPal | No Comments »PayPal in India have launched an improved site which they state offers the same previous benefits and more, including customised content, easier and quicker navigation, and an improved look.
www.paypal.in allows users a better experience when shopping or selling online using PayPal, though the company may have a hard time shunting eBay users away from the PaisaPay service, an ebay+banks service available only in India. The announcement hints lightly at this, acknowledging PayPal will be of interest to those with their own websites.
PayPal India is operated by PayPal Pte Limited from Singapore, who have also announced a new site for Singaporean users (maybe now eBay SG will allow sellers to pay their fees with PayPal?) using an almost identical announcement.
Both announcements triumph the site launches as being “just in time for Christmas” – ermmm, No! Just in time for Christmas would have meant site launches in mid-summer, so that sellers could factor them into selling strategies for the whole Christmas season, and those launches would have been accompanied with promotions that sellers could have advertised to improve sales.
You can read both announcements in full in our PayPal discussion forum (forum login required).
