Calling all Dolphins, Calling all Dolphins
By Ed | November 5th, 2008 | Category: eBay | No Comments »No, it’s not a joke, a senior eBay manager did really refer to good sellers that were suspended due to an uncharacteristic error, “dolphins caught in Trust & Safety’s net”.
That was months back and the concept has spread around the eBay world like wildfire. Several mainstream print media titles also ran stories about it in the months since.
Now, Randy Smythe, once eBay’s largest and most successful seller, has his hooting horn in the water (a-la-Flipper of the TV series) and is searching for all of you -
I believe the only way to force eBay management to change the course they are on is by reaching out to the Board of Directors and specifically Pierre Omidyar, with details on the carnage that their changes have caused, but single letters and individual stories do not carry much weight I will need 100′s of real incidents to make my point. I am asking for my readers to submit their stories, so I can put together a little package for the eBay Board of Directors.
He’s also looking for real stories from people whose business, family, or lifestyle have been impacted adversely by any of eBay’s changes this year.
Read the rules and his full blog call here, and please do contact him if your story fits what he needs.
