Oz offers PowerSellers 50% off FVFs for Free P&P

eBay Australia is the latest site to attempt luring sellers into believing that buyers want “Free” shipping rolled into the selling price.  All listings must start between the 8th and 14th October (inclusive).

Offering 50% off final value fees for Auction and Fixed Price listings, but only to Australian residents, and only for goods shipped to Australian destinations – oh wow!  How generous eBay! – other terms and conditions apply too – see the full announcement and links in our eBay Cheap Listing Days news board (forum registration required).

Eligibility includes -

  • This offer is only available to PowerSellers.
  • Applies to all auction and fixed price listings.
  • Listings must be made on ebay.com.au.
  • During the Promotional Period, Qualifying Sellers will receive 50% off Final Values Fees on each auction or fixed price listing where shipping within Australia is listed free at the time the listing ended with a sale.
  • Auction and fixed price listings which end after the Promotional Period but are scheduled to begin during the Promotional Period are included.
  • Listings in two or more categories are included.
  • Multiple-item listings and Dutch auctions are included.
  • Car parts and accessories are included.

Well, I suppose Aussies will be thankful that eBay didn’t try to make PayPal compulsory on this one?
